WE ARE PLANTING A CHURCH

In 2020, while working as Community Pastors in Europe, God started speaking to us about planting a Jesus-Centered Church together. Little did we know then that God was calling our family overseas to Raleigh, North Carolina.

As the dream and vision was growing, we began to ask ourselves questions like:

What happens when we place Jesus at the center of our life and relationships?

What happens when Jesus is at the center of how we read and understand the Bible?

What happens when we become more concerned with what unites us in Christ than with what divides us?

What would a Church look like that is deeply rooted in the historical creeds, but feels modern and is passionate and Spirit-filled?

As a family we are passionate about church planting because we believe the Church is called to shine the light of Christ to the world around us.

Today there are more Churches closing then opening. The Raleigh area is currently a thriving city with a rising population. With big tech and research companies opening new sites, the population numbers are expected to continue to rise tremendously in the foreseeable future. Roughly 60% of our neighbors and loved ones do not go to Church on a regular basis. Yet many of them are looking for a place where they can find answers to life’s big questions, for a place where they can find meaning and purpose and be loved for who they are. We hope to establish a church that cares for one another and our community.

At the end of the day we believe that a faith that centers around loving the person and message of Jesus will make all the difference in life.

It’s about believing we are not so much tasked with changing the world, but rather becoming the world already changed by Christ. It’s about cherishing our faith essentials, embracing diversity and seeking love in all things. A place that lives, shares and calls others to the Jesus way. This is City on a Hill Church.

Relationships are one of the most important things about our humanity but can also be the most messy. We want to learn to navigate true, relational community in a Jesus-loving way.
